song of the year that does originate from this year: all in white, the vaccines. i tend to discover the best songs much later, so this is subject to change. it is definitely not my most played or sentiment ridden but worth a listen.
album of the year: dye it blonde, smith westerns. really good to sign along to.
serious album of the year: father, son, holy ghost, girls. this comma scheme looks silly now.

movie of the year that does not originate from this year: the virgin suicides. in the first half of 2011, i so wanted to feel understood—to be hugged back, to cry alongside, to feel everything and reflect nothing.
